About Me

In this blog I will be reflecting on my experiences of being a student on the SBOSE module as part of the IBOE course at Edinburgh Napier.

Outside of studying I am an Education Support Manager, responsible for coordinating Information Literacy and study skills training delivered in a Library. A busy role, but never a dull moment and a very enjoyable job.

In my spare time I am a keen cyclist, mainly just to and from work these days….. but in the past have done many routes with cycling friends, London to Paris, Edinburgh to Brighton and London to Brighton to name a few. One of my goals for 2016 is to do a few more long cycles.

I have also been a rugby player for many years. I have been lucky enough to play for many clubs in my career. I have also played for my county and region. I was interviewed for the local newspaper once, the reporter was fascinated by the fact that I could play such a contact sport and be a librarian!! I got quoted in the paper as ‘by day I am a librarian and by night and weekend a loose- head prop’.
